SEMEN FREEZING
Sperm may be frozen and “saved” for future use. It is strongly recommended that sperm be collected prior to initiation of treatment this would provide you with a back up sample. Even if your sperm count is low or you can only have time to make one deposit, sperm banking may still be worthwhile. Sperm freezing can be offered for cancer patients before chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Once sperm is frozen, there is no set time limit as to how long it can remain frozen until it is used, but according to the UAE regulations sperm can be kept frozen for a maximum period of 5 years.
